Using eCitizen and KRA Services Without the Headache

A step-by-step guide to the government services Kenyans use most, the documents to prepare, and the mistakes that cause rejections.

Using eCitizen and KRA Services Without the Headache

eCitizen has moved almost every common government service online. That is good news — as long as you arrive with the right documents and a working account.

Prepare before you log in

Most failed applications come down to missing paperwork rather than the portal itself.

  • National ID and KRA PIN certificate
  • A working email address and phone number linked to your account
  • Clear scans or photos of supporting documents
  • Mobile money available for the service fee

Common services we handle daily

Business name registration, KRA PIN applications and returns, good conduct certificates, NTSA logbook transfers, passport applications and NHIF or SHA updates all run through the same portal family.

“Bring the documents once, and most eCitizen services take minutes rather than repeat trips.”

Keep your receipts

Download and store every acknowledgement and payment receipt. When a service takes longer than expected, the reference number is the only thing that moves your case forward.

Working with Bluepeak

Our cyber desk in Meru handles eCitizen and KRA applications end to end, including printing and lamination of the final documents.
